What we do

:: ACHIEVEMENT HOUSE’s primary purpose is to help those with disabilities, providing a supportive environment so they can connect, engage and be part of their community.

A key part of helping build confidence and self-worth is providing mahi / work where they can carry out tasks individually or as a team, and enjoy a sense of achievement when jobs are completed.

Our team includes people with an intellectual/learning disability, autism or similar neurodiversity, and who want to engage in mahi/work they find meaningful and rewarding.

For more than 40 years, our enterprise has provided services to businesses and organisations.

Our floor staff are specialists and expert in the assembly, collation, labelling and packaging of small, lightweight components.

We charge a market rate for this work and use the income to directly reinvest into our business to remain sustainable, so we can continue to provide opportunities and support for our team.

We work with a variety of businesses across a range of industries to keep a diversity of work and income streams.

Our team can take on a wide variety of manual tasks that require a methodical approach, and a commitment to getting the job done right.

Here are examples of the types of outsourced work we do:

Assembly

We assemble components for clients whose volume of work best suits a manual process.

Packing

Want individual items sorted and packed? We’ll work out the most efficient way to do this.

Collating

Our team can sort and collate items that need to be combined.

Labelling

Envelopes, labels, swing tags, barcodes … we can put them all on your products.

Most of our clients are based in the Waikato/Bay of Plenty and Tāmaki Makaurau / Auckland but there’s no reason we can’t help clients further afield.

We can process large volumes with rigid quality controls. Much of our finished work is sent directly from our premises to the port for export.

“They carry out a wide range of tasks for us, and we’ve found them reliable, and easy to deal with. Plus, we get a real buzz when we call in and meet the people. We always leave with a smile.”
